mexico with jacqui

Hello everyone,

the first days with Jacqui we stayed in Oaxaca City.
From there we visited the beautiful pools and waterfalls of Hierve el Agua. There we celebrated Jacquis birthday with a camping-party in the middle of nowhere!

Then the Pacific Ocean called us again and we had some great beach-days in Mazunte and San Agustinillo.

We also did trips to Puerto Escondido and the nationalpark "Lagunas de Chacahua" with it's amazing landscape.

Now we are back in Mazunte and getting ready for the States. In one week we're flying from Mexico City to Houston, Texas.

mexico

Hola a todos,

after a few months, it's finally time for a new blogpost.

After Ruth and Malte left we had a long journey with our beautiful Combi „Coco“ through southern Mexico.

First we drove to Valladolid, a nice little colonial town in the middle of Mexicos Peninsula Yucatan. We ended up in Merida for about a month, staying at the bomberos (fire department) during the hottest month since a long time. We meet two amazing argentinians (Mario y Naty), which are also travelling through America in a van.
In Merida we adopted our cute baby bunny „lila“.
We found a loving home for him in Agua Azul, one of the most beautiful waterfalls we have seen so far!

In San Cristobal de las Casas it was time to settle down again, meet new people and work.
We returned to the Hostel we satyed at almost exactly a year before, hostal iguana.
Here in San Cristobal, we found an adorable street kitten, Pollo.
We had a pretty awesome roadtrip with Joe and David from San Cristobal to Mazunte, camping on lonely beaches and having nice bonfires with Joes beautiful music.

Mazunte, which has kind of gotten to be our home away from home in central america! It's nice to be back to this amazing place with amazing people.
Pollo has followed us all the way to this beautiful place, where Emilia and Martin (the owners of the best Hostel in Mexico „la isla“) will take care of her once we leave to the States.

So, about a month ago, Jacqui came to visit us, this though, will be another chapter itself ;)
On the way to pick her up in Oaxaca, we stopped by in San Jose del Pacifico, a tiny village in the mountains. We had an epic time there with awesome people.
